2004 Aston Martin DB7 Vantage
We are delighted to present this Aston Martin DB7 Vantage (2004) for sale. The Aston Martin DB7 Vantage was the first car to be fitted with the all-new V12 engine. The first time a V12 had been fitted into a production Aston Martin. Transforming the DB7 and pushing it into supercar territory, this became – at the time – the company’s most-built car.
This particular DB7 Vantage started its life as a press car at Gaydon. After this, its first proper owner acquired the car. But as one of the last DB7 Vantages built and first registered in July 2004, this car had several high-end options fitted. These include the 3-mode Touchtronic transmission, a heated front screen, power-fold mirrors, large bore tailpipes and a Becker satellite navigation system, amongst others.
This is a dignified Aston Martin, finishing in the contrasting colours of Stronsay Silver with Charcoal leather and an Alcantara interior with black carpets and a smoked Alcantara headlining. But once you press the engine start button, the distinctive V12 growl – enhanced by the sports tailpipes – ensures you know you’re in a high-performance car, and the surge away from a standstill confirms it. The beauty of the Touchtronic transmission is that you can match it to your driving mood. Go from lazy automatic all the way through to direct gearshifts via the steering wheel buttons.
With a full Aston Martin dealer and specialist service history in the UK and in Jersey, previous owners have kept this car in excellent order. In May 2012, the brakes were updated with GT discs and callipers, the plugs and coils were replaced in April 2014 at around 36,000 miles, and the chassis was fully wax oiled in June 2014.
The current owner imported the vehicle back into the UK from Jersey in 2016 (with all import duties paid). The car has undergone a series of in-depth maintenance works, including a rebuilt differential and a powder-coated cradle assembly in February 2017, 4 new tyres were fitted in June 2018, a new oil sump gasket with the subframe also painted in April 2019, the rear subframe was refurbished in February 2021. Furthermore, a recent full air-conditioning service including a new evaporator for £5,000 was completed in August 2022. Since its return to the UK, marque specialists Chicane and Chris Done of astondb7.com. have serviced this DB7 Vantage.
The DB7 marked the end of Aston Martins made with a steel chassis, as the DB9 heralded in the new era of production methods at the newly opened Gaydon factory. So, whilst the DB7 ushered in a new era in some ways, it also waved goodbye to another. Destined to become a classic, this is an excellent opportunity to purchase an extremely well-sorted V12 Aston Martin before prices rise – which they undoubtedly will.
This DB7 Vantage is available for viewing and demonstration in our Hampshire showroom by appointment only. Finally, for peace of mind, we will sell this Aston with a full pre-sale inspection by Chicane and 12 months MOT. Full details are available on request.
